On October 27, 2021 Everglades University representatives; President Kristi Mollis, Vice President of Academic Affairs -Jared Bezet, Vice President- Joseph Dalto, and Director of Student Services- Rubeena Barrat attended the CASF 71^st Annual Installation And Awards Banquet. 

President Kristi Mollis was a speaker for the event discussing the recent partnership between Everglades University and the Construction Association of South Florida to establish a permanent scholarship endowment for the EU Construction Management department.  She also discussed future plans to develop externships with CASF members to allow EU Construction students the ability to gain experience in the industry with the CASF member companies while completing their degrees.

In July 2021 Everglades University was gifted $60,000 to establish the scholarship endowment.  President Mollis also presented the first EU/ CASF scholarship recipient- Mr. Geansli Joseph.

Mr. Joseph was in attendance at the event and accepted the scholarship with his wife on stage.  Mr. Joseph is currently pursuing his bachelors in Construction Management. He has experience in design, drafting, BIM technology, and construction.

President Mollis’ speech included the following statement, ”We believe we are aligned with CASF in that our goal is to support the South Florida Construction Industry by training and educating your future employees.  Everglades University is a home grown Florida based regionally accredited not for profit University with 6 campuses in Florida.  Our Main campus is located in Boca Raton and our branch campuses are located in Miami, Tampa, Sarasota and Orlando.  This scholarship will annually support students attending our south Florida campuses for years to come.  And for that we thank all of you for your support.”

The 13th Annual Commonwealth Institute Top Women Awards Luncheon honoring the Top Women-Led Businesses in Florida was held Thursday, May 3, 2018 in downtown Miami. The event was held at the Hilton Miami Downtown and Everglades University President, Ms. Kristi Mollis was honored for the 5th consecutive year in the Top 10 Woman-Led Not-For-Profit Organizations coming in 2nd for 2018.

Everglades University has recently announced a partnership with Dallas-based Parker University. Students who wish to continue their education in chiropractic care will now have a clear path towards a successful career in chiropractic wellness. From undergraduate courses at Everglades University straight to Parker University’s Doctor of Chiropractic program, students will gain the education and skills they need to become leaders in the field.

Parker University focuses on providing students with opportunities related to healthcare, specifically in the realm of chiropractic. Parker has two chiropractic wellness clinics in addition to their research institute. The research institute includes the Parker Seminars, the largest chiropractic seminar organization in the world, and the Parker SHARE products, which provides innovative products and current information on chiropractic wellness to professionals in the field.

Everglades University was ranked #36 in Regional South and #13 for Veterans in the latest US News rankings that were just released!

The AquaGrove will be the latest addition to the EU Sarasota outdoor Solar and Renewable Energy teaching Lab.

The AquaGrove is a solar operated system allowing people in remote and off the grid areas to grow fish and vegetables in a self  contained system.  EU Sarasota students will participate in a pilot program studying this system and comparing notes to develop optimum operating capacity as part of the BS/Alternative and Renewable Energy Degree program.

The AquaGrove is scheduled for installation in September 2017 in time for fall classes.

For the past 15 years, Kristi Mollis has served as the president and CEO of Everglades University, an accredited, private, not-for-profit university offering bachelor’s and master’s degree programs online and on-campus. She oversees performance, operations, and compliance at their five Florida-based campuses in Boca Raton, Sarasota, Tampa, and Orlando, as well as for their online division.

Throughout her 27 years as an academic leader, Kristi Mollis has dedicated her time and efforts to leaving people and places a little bit better than when she found them. Under her leadership, Everglades University has grown from one campus to five, from college to university status, and from a nationally accredited university to a regionally accredited university. President Kristi Mollis was recognized as Team Leader of the Year for ACCSC and later elected as a Commissioner for ACCSC.

CommunityKristi Mollis believes that the University’s impact extends far beyond its classroom walls. Each student that receives a bachelor’s or master’s degree there will someday go out into the world to apply it. That is why, when the University expanded its programs in 2012, it was important to Kristi Mollis to add programs that would potentially impact our community. “We added degree programs that we felt would significantly impact the community, such as Alternative and Renewable Energy Management and Crisis and Disaster Management,” says Mollis. The university is also committed to community service, working with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Boca Helping Hands, The Place of Hope, KIDS in Distress, and Habitat for Humanity.

AwardsRecently, Kristi was ranked second in the Top 10 Women Led Not For Profit Organizations in Florida, in 2017. The Commonwealth Institute, a non-profit organization devoted to advancing businesswomen in leadership positions, compiled the list and it is the fourth consecutive year that she has received the accolade. She has also been recognized as the 2007 ACCSC’s “Team Leader of the Year” and the 2012 South Florida Business Leader of the Year in Education.
